| Proper Letter and Number Placement Placement of individual letters & numbers onto a garment and lining them up can be tricky at times. To help assist you, we have cardboard layout templates. The templates come in a set of three different sizes to help you achieve a straight or arched name. A good idea is to line up your letters, on a flat table next to your heat press, using the cardboard layout templates. Lay our thermo-tape or pre-mask tape over the letters to form a carrier, and transfer the properly spaced names onto the garment. Both of the tapes can be left on the garment while heat applying and then removed after the application time. Here are the common sizes of letters and numbers for sports garments.
